The top 3 public golf courses in this area

Palm Beach Gardens is known as the golf capital of the world and for good reason. Many of the finest, luxury country clubs like BallenIsles and Mirasol are clustered in the area between Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter, a distance of only about 6 miles. And the PGA of America has it’s headquarters here.
Mirasol was once home to the Honda Classic. Now, the event has moved to PGA National and seems to have found a permanent home and grown in size since local residents McIlroy, Fowler and Woods play in the event. But where are the public courses around here?
One of the most popular public courses is the Abacoa Golf Club located just off Donald Ross Road. A windy venue, Abacoa, especially the par-3, 13th facing directly into the wind, will challenge players at all levels.
Further south along the Intracoastal waterway you will find the North Palm Beach Country Club. This venue is windy too, has great waterfront views and was re-designed by Jack Nicklaus for $1. Give it a go and unless they have changed the rules you can still walk, as golf was meant to be played.
My third choice is Jonathan’s Landing, but there is a catch. During our “season” the club, with it’s 3 courses, is private. However, in April, they sell an “off-season” package for around $1,100 that allows you to play all three courses as much as you like and use the social facilities. This is without a doubt the best deal in golf around.
