Sonoma Isles: DiVosta homes start selling Monday
November 22, 2015 | Richard Sites
DiVosta will begin selling homes in Sonoma Isles, west of Jupiter, on Monday November 23. The long awaited 275 homes occupy 260 acres on the north side of Indiantown Road (SR 706) across from the Toll Brothers development of Jupiter Country Club.
The fact that new homes priced from the mid-$600’s to well over a million is a sign of how hot new home sales are in this area.
In fact, new homes are springing up on every available piece of land in this area.
The new homes in Sonoma Isles will range in size from 2,488 to 5,100 feet in size and will have up to 7 bedrooms. This is a far cry from the other DiVosta homes in this area in places like The Bluffs and The Hamptons where homes are a modest size of about 2000-2400 feet and indicate what has happened to the market for Jupiter homes.
Sonoma Isles joins at least 7 other sites where new homes are under construction. Most are single family homes, but in Juno Beach elegant, waterfront condos on the Intracoastal Waterway are under construction at Bay Colony.
The land where DiVosta is building was once cattle pastures then it was purchased by WCI during the “boom”. When things turned against them, they sold the land on the south side to Toll Brothers. The Greg Norman designed golf course at Jupiter Country Club has 15 holes on the south side of the road and the other 3 on the north side so Sonoma Isles sorts of wraps around this section of JCC.
In addition, since the theme in construction and land development is “going green”, half of the parcel is devoted to wetlands and lakes.
