Ben Hogan once said if he could only play one golf course for the rest of his life it would be Seminole.
Golf Digest recently posted their list of the top golf courses in the United States and Seminole Golf Club, located where Juno Beach and North Palm Beach meet the ocean, came in at number 12.
The Donald Ross designed course, directly on the Atlantic Ocean, is one of the most private golf clubs in the country. The 6,836 yard, par-72 course was originally opened 1929 and boasts a very select membership.
Golf Digest describes the Seminole Golf Course as “A majestic Donald Ross design with a clever routing on a rectangular site, each hole at Seminole encounters a new wind direction.” Seminole has long been one of America’s most exclusive clubs, which is why it will host the 2021 Walker Cup.”
Golf Digest has comprised the list of top golf clubs for the past 50 years and Seminole Golf Club has made the list every year. Seminole’s highest ranking was when they ranked 8th in 1985 and then again in 1990.
The club is located within the Seminole Landing community, where homes such as the oceanfront mansion Pallazzo Serano was listed for $26 million during the real estate boom and where ex-Mrs. Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren, paid $12 million for an oceanfront location before demolishing the home.
