RICKIE FOWLER SELLS RIVER HOUSE IN JUST 7 DAYS
November 25, 2016 | Richard Sites
Rickie Fowler, PGA Tour pro has sold his Jupiter riverfront home. The house, located on the west side of the Loxahatchee River was listed at $2.85 million and sold in just 7 days for full price in a cash transaction.
Fowler, like other PGA stars, has discovered Jupiter and made it his home. I believe anyone who can live in Jupiter…does!
The house, located in Carmel Landing, has nearly 5,000 feet of living space but the big attraction along the river is always the amount of river frontage. This house has 123 feet of frontage. So, if he sold where did he go?
Back on the river of course, just as John C. Maxwell did over on the Tequesta side. Maxwell was gone for a couple of years but recently moved back and bought Mark Calcavecchia’s house. Mark had moved from Mirasol Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens to the river.
Fowler just bought a home for $12 million down on Pennock Point. The house was an inside deal, not listed in the MLS, since the owner was another real estate agent in the area within the same company that listed Fowler’s house.
Dustin Johnson is very active in the luxury real estate market here. And Rory McIlroy paid $10 million for an Intracoastal location in Palm Beach Gardens.
Prices on river homes for sale continue to rise rapidly, particularly those with views straight out the Jupiter Inlet or those with wide views. Those river homes for sale with “short views” like those in the Islands of Jupiter, sometimes take longer to sell since the amount of river frontage and the view is what buyers consider the most desirable features.
