Loxahatchee River Homes: Setting new records in prices
April 26, 2015 | Richard Sites
The market for Jupiter homes is red hot and nowhere is this more apparent than in luxury estate homes along the Loxahatchee River.
The Jupiter Inlet flows in past the famous lighthouse before turning into the Loxahatchee River. Once it passes the Alt. A 1 A bridge, it splits into 3 forks: the North Fork, the Northwest Fork and the Southwest Fork.
The North heads up into Tequesta while the Northwest splits Tequesta from Jupiter. This means Tequesta is on the east side and Jupiter on the west. The Southwest Fork heads, strangely enough, SW into Jupiter.
Since these are some of the oldest properties in the area, many of the parcels of land are huge by today’s standards. They also offer some of the most desirable locations around. And the market for these luxury estate homes is red hot.
Recently, a home for sale at $ 2.3 million sold the first day it went on the market. Another home sold for over $ 700 a square foot. These properties are setting new records and the prices continue upward.
If you are looking for a luxurious, waterfront property, unlike many agents I have lived here for 25 years and know the river and all it’s nuances. I’ll show you the best locations and some great deals. But, when you find that perfect house, you have to be ready to pounce since they don’t last long.
