Loxahatchee River Homes: Bay Harbor home sells at $2.25 million
November 14, 2015 | Richard Sites
Homes in Bay Harbor occupy one of the most desirable of all riverfront locations in Tequesta or Jupiter. These homes are on the Anchorage Point peninsula in Tequesta with some of the widest, North to South views around. The homes were built mostly in the 1960’s so the older ones are typically Florida ranch style, but the location is what drives the prices here. Check out the view below.
A 4 bedroom, 4 bath home with about 4,300 feet of living space just sold after 179 days on the market. It was listed by Waterfront Properties at $2.5 million and sold for $ 2.25 million.
Homes in Bay Harbor sit on the west side of Anchorage Point. The view across the river, seen above, looks over the famous sandbar which is alive with weekend activity and is close enough to the mouth of the Jupiter Inlet to get what is referred to here as the “blue water”. This water comes in on the high tide and is nearly as clear as the water in the Bahamas.
Most homes here have docks with boat lifts since a large part of the riverfront appeal is the ability to walk out on your dock, push a button, have your boat lower into the water, and be in the Atlantic in 10 minutes or less. All but the largest sport fishing boats with high towers can get under the Alt. A1A bridge so you can keep a very large boat behind your house.
The market is hot for waterfront properties right now so if you live along the river this might be the perfect time to sell and move forward with your plans.
