Limestone Creek Natural Area

The Southwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River cuts off the Jupiter Inlet and heads SW until it joins C-18, which is part of the water management system of canals. Along the way, you will still find an unspoiled section of the original river complete with mangrove shoreline. This is now called the Limestone Creek Natural Area and a kayak launch has been provided.
This estuary provides habitat for mullet nearly year round and snook, one of our most prized game fish, come up here during the winter to escape the cold and after heavy rains when suitable prey wash through the spillway and hopefully into waiting open snook mouths.
There are several natural areas around Jupiter and they give you a chance to enjoy Florida the way it once was. You can learn more about these areas and the local lifestyle and real estate market on my You Tube channel where I have over 350 videos posted. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any new ones.
