Jupiter Island Homes: 4 new listings this month
December 26, 2015 | Richard Sites
Jupiter Island is one of the most exclusive communities is the entire country. Technically, it is a barrier island, like Singer Island, but it is wide enough for expansive estates on both the Atlantic side and on the Intracoastal side. A few extremely choice locations, like Greg Norman’s home, actually span the island.
4 new listings came on the market this month.
The lowest priced home, at $2.95 million, is a Colonial/Plantation style home on the north end of the island. The 1984 home has nearly 5,000 feet under air and a 4/4 floor plan. Although remodeled, it’s style is not one often seen in this area.
The second, priced at $3.499 million, is also on the north end of the island. “North end of the island” means north of Bridge Road. Although the home was built in 1977, it has a highly desirable, ocean front lot.
The third house, priced at $5.995 million, is located on South Beach Road where the big estates are. The lot is nearly an acre and has deeded access to the ocean. The tightly manicured lot also has two guest houses in addition to the main home of 6,000 feet built in 2009.
Finally, a completely remodeled, oceanfront home came on the market at $13.75 million. The original house was built in 1965 with 200 feet of sparkling Atlantic waterfront as the view. The house is also about 6,000 feet but has been thoroughly remodeled with the finest of materials. The list price is $2,233 per square foot.
You might find Jupiter Island to your liking if you want an estate home in a quiet location without the trappings of a busy country club. The island has a club and golf course, but it has the understated feel of New England or North Carolina.
