Jupiter Inlet Colony: A bank owned investment opportunity
August 18, 2015 | Richard Sites
Jupiter Inlet Colony, the private enclave on the southern end of Jupiter Island, has an incredible investment opportunity available for the right party. JIC is so private that in 2011 it was voted the safest town in Florida. It is also a great place for real estate investing.
Carlos Justo once pointed out that the beachfront homes in Sunny Isles were a fantastic place to own a “one-of-a-kind” beachfront location. Jupiter Inlet Colony homes are as close to this type of location as you can get. If you go south to North Palm Beach, a beachfront location there will run you over $10 million.
The homes along the ocean, where Kid Rock lives, sell for about $3-$5 million. The same price point is true for the homes along the Intracoastal Waterway where Perry Como once lived and where Olivia Newton-John lives. But off the water, there is another fantastic location.
The homes along Beacon and Shelter Lane offer the same great lifestyle but without the multi-million dollar price tags. These original, ranch style homes are small compared to the mansions that are replacing them. One great investment opportunity is available now although I suspect it will not last long. The crush of people coming from Ft. Lauderdale and Miami will soon find this value and scoop it up.
The home pictured above is on the market for $749,900. This is the range that other similar homes have sold in when they were available. Since there are only about 250 homes in Jupiter Inlet Colony and only 6 on the market, your options are few.
This house is the least expensive house in JIC by $250,000 and is a steal.
