Jupiter is arguably one of the finest spots along the Florida coast to call home. I should know since I grew up in Southeast Florida and have lived in Jupiter with my family for 25 years.
Here are the three top reasons to call Jupiter home.
The saying in real estate is location, location, location and this is where Jupiter really shines. First, we are located on the Atlantic with miles of beaches. Theses beaches are free, clean and mostly dog-friendly and only about a 10-15 minute drive from even the farthest reaches of town or Jupiter Farms. Several county parks are located along the waterfront as well.
Jupiter is surrounded by water on the east, the Intracoastal Waterway running from north to south and natural preserve areas on the north and west. This means we will never develop into the sprawling and congested area of a Boca Raton or Miami. It is simply impossible given the land use, geography and protected areas.
Both the Florida Turnpike and I-95 have exits here and they are side by side. This means commuting on either one is a snap and the airport and downtown West Palm are about 15 minutes away.
Given our family orientation, schools are an important consideration. All Jupiter schools are great, with enhanced curriculum, and are very close to all neighborhoods in Jupiter. In addition, we have Jupiter Christian and The Benjamin school for those seeking private schools as well as a very active home schooling community.
There is a wide array of homes for sale in Jupiter. They range from estates on Jupiter Island priced into the tens of millions, to waterfront properties in active country clubs like Admirals Cove, to riverfront homes on the Loxahatchee River, to new homes that are going up everywhere, to Jupiter Farms and Ranch Colony with semi-rural properties as large as 50 acre estates.
