Heavy summer storm sweeps through Jupiter

Summer means thunderstorms here in South Florida. They don’t last long, thankfully, but boy can the rain come down and the wind kick up. We had one come through just minutes ago. Here’s what the radar looked like and Jupiter is right in the middle of the screen.
The heat in the middle of the state causes these storms to form in the late afternoon. Today and yesterday we broke records with high temps in the mid-90’s. These are the storms that feed the Everglades it’s much needed water. And then the water continues it’s southward flow into the Bay of Florida.
