Gary Nicklaus takes $12 million home in Bear’s Club off the market
July 1, 2016 | Richard Sites
Gary Nicklaus, Jack’s son, has taken his Bear’s Club home off the market. It was only on the market for 32 days and was priced at $12.5 million. That is $1,191 per square foot. The monthly HOA fee is $1,583 and the taxes are over $138,000 annually. It is now heading to auction.
The house has over 10,000 square feet of living space with 6 bedrooms, 6 full baths and 2 half baths and is being sold without reserve. so the highest price gets the house. This is a very unusual step.
I attended another auction in the Bear’s Club years ago but it was sold with a reserve, which was not reached, and so the owner kept the house.
UPDATE: Gary relisted his house this AM for $8.4 million but it is still heading to auction on August 4. If you have interest in a no reserve auction of one of the premier homes in The Bear’s Club contact me immediately so we can get you registered!
