Can You Sell Your House Without Pictures? No!
July 20, 2016 | Richard Sites
Real estate transactions are highly charged, complicated transactions. But many sellers think they can sell their house themselves so they use a flat fee company to get the house listed in the MLS and consequently on sites like Zillow.
But you get exactly what you pay for.
This morning I discovered a new listing in Jupiter where the house was described as “a piece of paradise at a great price” yet there was no photo. What?
I hate to sound corny but isn’t a picture worth 10,000 words?
And aren’t most buyers today searching on mobile devices like iPads with extremely high resolution screens?
So if you have not used a professional photographer to shoot your house, you are not ready to sell. Period.
Just like painting, success in selling comes from proper preparation. I recently helped a couple, who really needed to sell, properly prepare their house for the market over the course of 6 weeks.
It paid off as the house sold within 12 hours of being listed and closed 30 days later.
