BURT REYNOLDS ATTENDS OPENING AT HIS FORMER RANCH
July 18, 2017 | Richard Sites
Jupiter Farms is a unique area west of the Town of Jupiter. Here, residents enjoy peace and quiet, wildlife and the freedom of no HOA. Now, new homes are coming to the Farms on the site of the old Burt Reynolds Ranch.
Burt Reynolds is Jupiter’s favorite son although he is really from Riviera Beach where his father was the sheriff.
He built his ranch, complete with private air strip, in Jupiter Farms and it later became a tourist attraction. He moved up to Tequesta on the Intracoastal Waterway but sold that home a couple of years ago for about $3.5 million (the original asking price was $15 million).
And the “Burt Reyonlds Museum” was demolished to make way for Harbourside Place.
Now, Hovnanian Homes is building Reynolds Ranch on the former ranch site and will it join other new homes going up in the area at Sonoma Isles and Jupiter Country Club. Burt attended the recent ribbon cutting.
Reynolds Ranch, a gated 150-acre community, will build just 30 single-family homes in eight different home designs with up to nearly 5,000 square feet of living space. Home sites will be up to 1.88 acres in size which is larger than the typical 1.25 acres found in the current Farms homes.
New homes are going up everywhere around here with prices starting around $600,000 not including lot premium. For guidance determining which development is right for you and your family contact me directly at 561.762.4073.
