Admirals Cove homes: $2 million sale on Quayside Drive
March 27, 2016 | Richard Sites
Admirals Cove, Jupiter’s waterfront community of estate homes, has some of the finest locations in the area. One street, Quayside Drive, is particularly nice because it is very short so there are few houses, is not a through street so there are no cars passing that are not going to a Quayside residence and all the homes are waterfront.
Robert Allenby, PGA Tour pro, lived on Quayside Drive.
A sale closed yesterday on Quayside at $2,075,000 or $479.88 per foot.
The house was built in 1990 and has 4,324 square feet of living space with 5 bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths. It was originally priced at $531 per foot and was on the market for 172 days.
It also had a full house generator, a luxury feature that became popular after the freak hurricanes of 2004-2005. Now, it is not uncommon to see these massive units attached to multi-million dollar homes and they are designed to start automatically in the event of a power outage.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, club memberships are attached to the homes in Admirals Cove and transfer with the sale. This one had a full golf membership which costs $150,000.
The Palm Beach County property taxes will be a little under 2% of the sale price annually.
