Abacoa is an area on the south central side of Jupiter comprised of 18 distinct neighborhoods. The concept behind Abacoa is “live, work & play here” so all facets of the Jupiter lifestyle are encompassed in the overall design. Some clean, high tech companies are located here including Scripps Research Institute, the Max Planck Society and G4S Security. In addition, Florida Atlantic University has an honors campus here. Town Center is at the heart of Abacoa, and you will find shops, restaurants, an open-air amphitheater, the Abacoa Golf Club and the Roger Dean Stadium close by.
Baseball games at Roger Dean are held daily at 1:05 and 7:05 pm and always attract a crowd. The Florida Marlins, our local major league team, and the St. Louis Cardinals use the facility during the early spring then the stadium is home to the Jupiter Hammerheads during the summer. The smaller size of the stadium allows you to get close to the action.
Family fun and fireworks are always on the calendar with all sorts of events held on the field. Often these events are timed so that they coincide with open air events on the amphitheater across the street.
Homes for sale in Abacoa range from townhouses, like those along the Abacoa Golf Course, to homes just over a million for those in Valencia. New homes are still under construction in Windsor Park. The homes are designed with front porches to encourage neighborly interaction. Generally, there are about 80 homes on the market but they sell very quickly so if you are considering buying here be ready to move quickly and have your financing in order if you are not paying cash.
